Theatre and Musical Theatre Through the Ages

Anything Goes in the world of a Shakespearean comedy. Deception, Fools, Disguises, Fights, Shipwrecks, Love and, of course, random Musical interludes! This summer, we explore all this and more during two weeks of games, music, theater, movement, and comedy. At the end of this program, we will put on an original musical adaptation of one of Shakepeare’s most popular works. So join us, for What You Will!

The Chicago Academy for the Arts Departments of Theatre and Musical Theatre present a two-week summer program for students entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grades focusing on professional training in acting, voice (both singing and speaking), and dance and/or stage movement. In addition, students may have the opportunity to work with The Academy’s faculty on various technical aspects of the theatre. The program will culminate in a presentation of material on the final day.
