Marsha Abramson - Visual Arts

“First and foremost, we love the feeling of knowing the faculty and staff are providing a loving and supportive environment that allows Marsha to flourish far beyond the classroom and studio. I have said many times, ‘The Academy has helped raise Marsha,’ and we are blessed to be part of such an extended family.”

Marsha Abramson will graduate from the Visual Arts Department next week and will attend the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in the fall!

Michele, Marsha’s mother, will miss the culture of the Visual Arts Department.

“I’ll never forget the excitement of installation week and the long hours Marsha would spend in the studio, plaster dust footprints left behind. Early signs of her dedication. I'll always remember the teamwork exhibited as the department would come together preparing for show nights. The Visual Arts Department represents a unique bond among its students and instructors.”

We look forward to Marsha, Michele and their family remaining part of the Academy community throughout college and beyond. Congratulations Marsha! Good luck next year.

“I can't imagine our daughter spending her high school years anywhere else. She has grown to become increasingly compassionate, and her dedication to the arts is without question. It is evident that those who teach, or support in other areas, love the mission they carry out every day. The commitment The Academy makes to its students and their families is everlasting. I would like more parents considering this school to realize that the full potential of their teenager can be achieved with the patience, acceptance, and inclusion found within this very special place. We're confident her experience being part of the Academy community has helped create the foundation necessary for a happy and healthy life. I'm certain she feels the same. It doesn't stop within those red doors. It is also the understanding and support from other parents that helps define the true sense of community. We’re forever grateful.”
