Dear Families and Friends,
We’re barely eight weeks into the new school year, but we have already witnessed extraordinary artistic work from across the Academy community. From the Fall Figure Drawing Exhibit, to the Brush-Up-Your-Shakespeare Revue, to the Fall Classical and Jazz Recital, to Noises Off!, this has been a quarter to remember.
The annual student-run AIDS Benefit, under the direction of Dance Department Senior Izzy Ball, raised thousands of dollars for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, delighted audiences in two sold-out performances, and caught the attention of several media outlets, including NBC and ABC. The AIDS Benefit is one of our community’s most important traditions—bravo to all involved!
Finally, our recruitment efforts for the 2017-2018 school year are well underway. If you know of an exceptional young artist who will thrive in our incredible community, please refer them to the admissions page of our website. Here prospective families will find information on our upcoming open houses, parent coffees, academic nights, and audition days.
