Please join The Chicago Academy for the Arts' Music Department faculty for a series of masterclass videos that will introduce students to topics in vocal improvisation, composition and music recording. Videos will be released weekly on Friday, June 5, June 12 and June 19 to registered families and will walk students through each skill to complete a task independently, which they will submit to our faculty for feedback. This series will culminate with a live virtual showcase hosted by Acting Music Department Chair Rachel Brown on Friday, June 26 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. where students will have the opportunity to celebrate each other's accomplishments from the series.

Intro to Music Production and Ableton Live with Jack Murray

Join Chicago Academy for the Arts Director of Recording Arts and Commercial Music Jack Murray for this 20-minute, introductory Music Production & Ableton Live course! Mr. Murray will introduce you to Ableton Live 10 Suite (free trial edition), music production, and loop-based music making. This course will cover all the basics of using Ableton Live the first time - up through the creation of your first loop based music production song project. No prior experience required.
