Van Jackson
Van Jackson, a cherished member of The Academy family, joined The Academy community in 2013 when he assumed the role of a security officer. However, in the hearts of our students, he quickly transcended this title, becoming the warm and familiar face they eagerly looked forward to seeing each morning as they passed through the iconic red doors.

In an interview with alum Hengyu Wang (Visual Arts ‘18), Hengyu expressed:
"Every time I come back to The Academy, it feels like I've never left; it never changes. At the same time, we know it's evolving, creating new talents. It was mind-blowing knowing the fact that everyone is constantly evolving and improving. But, Mr. Jackson is always there."
Although Mr. Jackson officially retired from his role at The Academy in 2023, his love and support for our community continued unabated. He often returns to the school, demonstrating his enduring commitment to the students and staff who have come to adore him.
